Beth Maitland, born on May 12, 1958, in Rapid City, South Dakota, is an American actress best known for her portrayal of Traci Abbott in the CBS Daytime soap opera "The Young and the Restless."

She has been a part of the show since 1982, with a break from 1996 to 2001, and continues to make appearances on a recurring basis.

Her journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age, as she appeared in numerous community theatre and dinner theatre productions by the age of thirteen. She attended Arizona State University, majoring in music and theatre, before moving to Los Angeles in 1978 to pursue her acting career.

Her career on television includes several made-for-television movies and a supporting role in "Mr. Holland's Opus." She is also active in a Los Angeles theater company and currently does voice-over work, radio plays, and appears live with the Santa Clarita Playhouse.

Beth Maitland was married to Christopher Banninger, a sound technician, from 1989 until their divorce in 2018. The couple has one daughter, Emelia Banninger.

She has faced personal challenges, including the tragic loss of her ex-husband to a heart attack in 2019.
