Deborah Shelton, born November 21, 1948, in Washington, D.C., is an American actress and former beauty pageant titleholder best known for her role as Mandy Winger on the CBS primetime soap opera Dallas.
Raised in Norfolk, Virginia, she graduated from Norview High School and attended Old Dominion University as an art major after initially pursuing pre-medical studies, eventually winning the Miss Virginia USA title in 1969 and the Miss USA crown in 1970, where she placed as first runner-up at Miss Universe.
Following her pageant success, she moved to New York City to study acting and model, appearing in television commercials before transitioning to Hollywood with early roles in films like Mysterious Island of Beautiful Women in 1979.
Her film career gained momentum with Blood Tide in 1982 alongside José Ferrer and James Earl Jones, where she also sang an end-credits song co-written with her then-husband Shuki Levy, followed by her notable performance as Gloria Revelle in Brian De Palma's erotic thriller Body Double in 1984, though her dialogue was later dubbed by Helen Shaver.
