Mia Sara, born Mia Sarapochiello on June 19, 1967, in Brooklyn Heights, New York, is an American actress best known for her roles in "Legend" (1985) and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986).

She made her film debut as Princess Lili in Ridley Scott's fantasy film "Legend" and gained widespread recognition for her role as Sloane Peterson, Ferris Bueller's girlfriend, in the comedy classic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Her performance in "Timecop" (1994) earned her the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Raised in a Catholic Italian-American family, Mia Sara attended St. Ann's School in Brooklyn. Her parents, Jerome Sarapochiello, a photographer and artist, and Diana Sarapochiello, a stylist and photographer, supported her early interest in acting.
