Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse, born on April 28, 1976, on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota, is a Sicangu Lakota Native American actor. He is best known for his role as Smiles a Lot in Kevin Costner's 1990 film "Dances with Wolves."

He spent most of his adult life in California before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. He has also appeared in three TNT telefilms: "The Broken Chain," "Into the West," and "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee."

He developed a reputation as a medicine man among tribes across the United States and Canada, claiming to perform healing ceremonies. However, in January 2023, he was arrested on charges of multiple sexual offenses against young Indigenous girls.

Nathan is the father of model Quannah Chasinghorse, who was raised by her single mother. Quannah has gained recognition as an Indigenous model and appeared on the 2020 Teen Vogue list of Top 21 under 21.

His career in acting began with "Dances with Wolves," and he continued to work in various roles in the 1990s and 2000s.
