Snoop Dogg

Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. a.k.a Snoop Dogg, born on October 20, 1971, in Long Beach, California, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, media personality, and actor. His journey into the spotlight began in 1992 when he collaborated with Dr. Dre on the track "Deep Cover" and later appeared on Dre's groundbreaking album, The Chronic.

His debut studio album, Doggystyle (1993), produced entirely by Dr. Dre, shot to the top of the Billboard 200. It sold a staggering 800,000 copies in its first week and received quadruple platinum certification. The album featured hit singles like "What's My Name?" and "Gin and Juice," solidifying Snoop's status as a West Coast hip-hop icon.

In 1994, Snoop made his acting debut in the short film Murder Was the Case, where he played the lead performer on Death Row Records' soundtrack album. His second album, Tha Doggfather (1996), also debuted at the top of the charts and achieved double platinum status.

His career took an interesting turn when he joined Master P's No Limit Records in 1998. His albums during this period, including Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told (1998), No Limit Top Dogg (1999), and Tha Last Meal (2000), continued his success.

Later, he signed with Geffen Records, releasing albums like R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece (2004), Tha Blue Carpet Treatment (2006), and Ego Trippin' (2008).
