Stephen Chow Sing-chi, born on June 22, 1962, in Hong Kong, is a renowned filmmaker, former actor, and comedian. He is best known for his unique "Mo lei tau" style of comedy, which blends slapstick humor with martial arts and stunts.

His journey in the entertainment industry began with small roles in television series, but his breakthrough came with the 1989 comedy series "The Final Combat." His first major film role was in the 1990 action comedy "All for the Winner," which established him as a comedy star in Hong Kong.

His career took a significant turn in 1994 when he made his directorial debut with "From Beijing with Love," a James Bond spoof. However, it was his 2001 film "Shaolin Soccer" that brought him international recognition.
