American Actress

Teresa Wright, born Muriel Teresa Wright on October 27, 1918, in Harlem, New York City, was an American actress known for her natural talent and dedication to her craft. Her parents divorced when she was young, and she grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey, where she attended Columbia High School.

She received her first Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for this role. The following year, she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Carol Beldon in "Mrs. Miniver" (1942).
