Toukie Smith, born Doris A. Smith on September 25, 1952, in Philadelphia, is an American actress and model best known for her role as Eva Rawley on the NBC sitcom "227." She grew up in a working-class family, with her mother employed in a factory and her father working as a butcher, and she is the sister of the late fashion designer Willi Smith.

After attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, she began her modeling career in 1972, quickly rising to prominence with work for major brands such as Chanel, Versace, Geoffrey Beene, Issey Miyake, and others.

She appeared in editorial spreads for high-profile magazines including Vogue, Elle, Ebony, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, and Seventeen, and in 1978 was named Bloomingdale's Model of the Year. Notably, she became the second African-American model to have a mannequin created in her likeness.

Her acting career included roles on television and in film, with appearances in "Miami Vice," "Me and Him," "Talkin’ Dirty After Dark," "Joe’s Apartment," "The Preacher’s Wife," and "Goosed."

In addition to her work in entertainment, she owned a restaurant in New York City’s West Village, aptly named Toukie’s. From 1988 to 1996, she was in a relationship with actor Robert De Niro, and together they had twin sons via surrogate.
